In order to keep our children safer, we have implemented a new check-in and attendance system, Church Center. This is used in the nursery, Sunday School, and Children’s Church classes.
Here’s some basic information:
Check-in kiosks are located in the foyer and at the Nursery drop-off counter.
There are be step-by-step instructions located next to each iPad.
Children from Nursery age through 3rd grade need to be checked-in each week.
2 labels print for each child.
Parents should apply the “name” label to their child’s clothing, somewhere where it won’t be easily peeled off.
Parents need to keep the check-out label and bring it back when they pick up their children.
Parents can designate others (grandparents, older siblings, etc.) to pick up their preschool and elementary aged children. These names can be added in the “medical notes” section of each child’s record.
If parents forget to add someone else as a pick-up person, they can give that person the check-out tag so that they can pick up the child.
Teachers should take the check-out tag and check the numbers against the child’s tag before releasing the child.
There is an app that can be used to streamline the check-in process. We highly recommend the Church Center App as it allows you to check in your children before you come to church and just scan your phone to print the labels.
If you have questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to come to us with them.
We realize that this is a lot of information to remember each week. Don’t panic if you forget. If you are interested in checking out the app, please see Jarred Bergey.
