Grace practices biblical church membership. We believe that a local congregation is made up of followers of Jesus Christ, and that Christ himself authorizes and commands a local congregation to proclaim the gospel, unite fellow believers to itself, and oversee their discipleship.
All who are interested in joining the church must attend a membership class (offered about twice a year), where they can learn about the practices, history, and life of the church. Then, they meet with the board of elders to share how they became followers of Christ. Finally, the congregation meets to vote and welcome them into membership.
As members, we commit to live with one another according to the biblical teaching summarized in our church covenant, and to worship and teach one another in accordance with the beliefs contained in our doctrinal statement.
